Jesus is the only way.

Chaos world

The World is in a state of confusion and disorder.

Evil increases Daily.

How did it become this way?

How can I be saved from the evil?

Where do I start?

What should I do?

Let’s start at the beginning.

There has to be a Creator.

1. God is the Creator. He can make all things happen.

Genesis 1 , Matthew 19:26 .

2. God is the true wisdom and power.

Daniel 2:20 , Jeremiah 51:15 .

3. God is Holy. He is a Trinity.

1 Samuel 2:2 , Psalm 99:1-3 , Matthew 28:18-20 .

4. God is perfect. God is the light and the truth. There is no darkness in Him.

Deuteronomy 32:1-4 , John 1:1-14 , John 4: 1-24 , 1 John 1:4-6

5. God is Love.

1 John 4:7 , 2 John 1:4-6 , 1 Corinthians 13

6. God condemns, saves, and sanctifies.

Romans 1:18-32 , Romans 6:23 , Romans 3:21-26 , John 3:16-17 , Romans 10:9-11 , Ephesians 2:1-10 , Romans 8: 9-13 , Galatians 5: 13-26 , 1 Corinthians 3:1-15 , Ephesians 5:25-27 .

7. God is the word. All scripture in the Bible is God-breathed.

John 1:1-14 , 2 Timothy 3:14-17 .

If God is so perfect how did the world become so evil?

God is perfect, but we are not perfect.

1. God gave us free will to choose.

Galatians 5:13 , John 7:16-18 , Proverbs 12:26 .

2. He loves us and would like us to choose His way for us.

Isaiah 45:22 , 2 Peter 3:9 , Revelation 3:20 .

3. But the desires of our heart and flesh are often contrary to God’s way for us.

Galatians 5:17-25 .

4. Not following God’s way leads to sin.

Romans 1:18-32 .

5. There is darkness and evil spirits in the world that torment and tempt us.

1 Timothy 6:6-10 , James 1:13-15 , Ephesians 6:12 .

6. Without God’s help, temptation overcomes us.

Mark 9:24 , 1 Corinthians 10:13 , Romans 12:21 , 1 John 4:1-6 .

7. As a result, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 3:23-24 .

8. Many of the evil acts in this world are the result of our desires and actions.

Isaiah 13: 11 , James 3:1-10 , 1 John 5:18-21 .

I feel bad about the things that I have done. How do I get right with God?

Let’s start with who you are.

1. God created you.

Psalm 139:13 .

2. “You” are a Soul living in a physical body.

2 Corinthians 5: 1-5 .

3. Your physical body is what you can see and touch.

4. Eventually your physical body will die.

1 Corinthians 15:50 .

5. Your spiritual (invisible) body is your Soul and it’s spiritual heart. “You” are your thoughts and emotions. “You” become visible when you instruct your physical body to express yourself.

6. When your physical body dies, “You” will be separated from your physical body.

If “You” Believe with your heart in Christ and have God’s Holy Spirit living inside of “You”, “You” will be washed clean of your sin and rise to eternal life. “You” will be with the Lord forever, and receive an immortal body. (You want to be here.)

Romans 8:9-11 , 1 Corinthians 15:50-54 .

“You” will face the judgement of the dead and potential eternal separation from God. (You don’t want to be here)

Matthew 10:28 , 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 , Revelation 20:11-15 .

You can not be saved by your own works. You can only be saved if you believe, by the grace of God, through faith.

Ephesians 2:8

So how can I get right with God and stand with Him? I am a sinner for sure. I want to be saved from my sins. I want the Holy Spirit living inside of me.

Jesus is the only way.

1. Jesus was conceived by Mary and the Holy Spirit. (God)

Matthew 1:18-25 .

2. God is in Jesus. He is God.

John 14:8-11 .

3. “He” has been there from the beginning.

John 1:1-5 .

4. “He” is the word that became flesh and walked among us.

John 1:6-18

5. The wages of sin is death.

Romans 6:23 .

6. Jesus is without sin.

1 Peter 2:22-23 .

7. Yet Jesus loved us so much that he suffer death for Our sins. He paid the price.

1 Peter 2:21-25 .

8. Since He is without sin, The Holy Spirit raised Him from the dead.

Death could not hold Him because there was no sin in Him.

Acts 2:22-24

9. When you die, if you are saved and the Holy Spirit is in you, you will rise.

“You” will rise to be with the Lord forever.

Romans 8:9-11 , 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 .

10. But none of your sinful thoughts or desires or emotions will rise.

The perishable (“You”) will be raised imperishable (without sin).

John 1:29 , 1 Peter 1:17-21

The path to eternal salvation is thru God’s son, Jesus Christ.

John 3:16-17 (NIV)

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

John 14:6-7 (NIV)

6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

2 Corinthians 7:8-10 (NIV)

8 Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it—I see that my letter hurt you, but only for a little while— 9 yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us. 10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

Salvation is a gift from God to those who believe.

Romans 10:9-11(NIV)

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”

When you are saved you receive the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 1:13-14 (NIV)

13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,
14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

It is through faith that you believe and by His grace that you are justified, not by your own works.

Ephesians 2:8-10 (NIV)

8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Romans 3:23-24(NIV)

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Romans 6:23 (NIV)

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Faith to believe in Christ comes from hearing about Christ.

Romans 10:17 (NIV)

17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

Seek Him and you will find Him. He is knocking on the door to your heart.

Matthew 7:7-8(NIV)

Ask, Seek, Knock

7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Revelation 3:20 (NIV)

20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

Asking Jesus to come into your Life comes from your heart.

Your words.

Below is a sample Salvation Prayer.

God, Lord Almighty, Creator of the Heavens and Earth,

I am a sinner.

I am truly, truly sorry for all of my sins.

I believe with all of my heart and soul and declare out loud that:

Jesus is Lord, that He is your Son.

That He suffered and died on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins.

He has risen back from death to eternal life.

He is in heaven and will return to earth to judge the living and the dead.

Please God, let the Holy Spirit come into me and guide my life.

I ask this in Jesus name,

Growing closer to God is your next step.
